Definitions courtesy of computer dictionary | Murder |ˈmərdər|nounthe unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another: the stabbing murder of an off-Broadway producer | he was put on trial for attempted murder.• informal a very difficult or unpleasant task or experience: my first job at the steel mill was murder. Targeted killing is the premeditated killing of an individual, by a state, organization or institution, outside a battlefield. |
Killing of humans by other humans has always been an interesting subject. Not because of the tragedy of a loss of life, not because God has told some people not to do it, not because of the gore and angst of the survivors, but rather because of the many situations under which this event can occur. Again, I've always thought it interesting that the Christian New Testament has been passed out to the front lines of soldiers in times of war; that the cries of vengeance for using of a sacred name allowed the taking of a life; that the methods of killing are enormously vast and somewhat indifferent to the final result. | Is this murder justifiable? Is this murder lawful? (By definition, murder is the unlawful taking of another person's life -- but sometimes people and cultures differ on whether an event was lawful or not) The state of War excuses the men and women who kill others. The state of Insanity has had similar effects. Justifiable homicide is not murder, yet the result is that someone is dead. Ethnic cleansing has been with the human species for as long as recorded history. Targeted Killing is simply justifiable homicide by a nation |
