We Live in a Pixelated World
Background:
The retina of the human eye contains about 7 million cones and 100 million rods. The rods are sensitive to low level light and are spaced around outside of the retina, allowing monochromatic black and white. The cones allow color information and are packed in the middle of the retina. We also have a 'blind spot' in each of our eyes that has no photo reception whatsoever, its called the 'optic nerve'. Its task is to transfer the visual information from the eye area to the brain.
So with a little reasoning, the world is NOT as we 'see' it. Everything we think we 'see' has been processed, smoothed, interpolated, and brought to us as reality. Consider seeing through glass spheres each with millions of port holes that look out to the universe. The view of the outside world may look continuous but really it is pixelated.
Enlarge your digital photo, zoom in on the emulsion of photographic paper, take a microscopic look at anything smooth, and one will find that it is not!
Premise:
This blog contains some ideas and descriptions that this human, being only a single receptor, has indeed taken in as 'raw' data.
The blog contains 'processed' information that has been fabricated from adjacent human receptors.
Some ideas and statements in this blog may be truthful and others not.
A few items may seem totally wacky from one perspective, yet other viewers may be in agreement with the author's smoothed reality.
Keep in mind that we all are somewhat blind on this journey.
Advice from a friend:
"Don't throw the slice of cherry pie away just because you encounter a pit now and then; savor the pie as it's cook intended."
Enjoy the journey.
Sincerely

Virtual Saguaro
(I lived in the Arizona Sonoran desert for many years and really appreciated the splendor and majesty of the Saguaro cactus. Hope it doesn't mind someone using it as a handle.)

Observing, processing and blogging!
